Product Description
PicoTurbine’s Rectification kit is a fully functional rectifier that teaches students how to convert low power AC sources into DC power. Students gain hands on knowledge of a circuit design and functionality. The kit uses a safe solderless breadboard allowing for penalty free mistakes and countless customizable circuits.
With step by step instructions, students learn how to convert electricity from AC to DC using the following circuit possibilities:
• half wave rectifier
• smoothing capacitors
• full wave rectifier
• voltage doubler rectifier
These are the same magnets used in the following PicoTurbine products:
• Savonius Model Wind Turbine
• Savonius Model Wind Turbine Plus
Note: the rectifier components are rated to work with low powered AC sources of 3.0V/50mA like that produced by PicoTurbine's Savonius Model Wind Turbines.
